Colts Fever

So far in this preseason, the Colts haven’t been doing so hot.  Well, honestly, nobody is… But that is part of the point of a preseason, I think. Isn’t it?  It has to be… what else could it be for?

Anywho, I wanted to show my support and pride with this design.  I may actually get one of these printed… Might do a few if others would like one to.  All I could ask is cost of printing and shipping, otherwise I think the NFL might put a hit out on me.

Drop me an email if you would like to show your support! GO HORSE!

Someday, Space! Poster Design

Someday, Space!

For the past few weeks I’ve been working on this poster design, trying to re-explore the Photoshop side of my brain.  I primarily work in Illustrator these days for my game art, so every once in a while I have to delve back into a personal project to keep my skills up to par.  This particular project stemmed from the many hours of Farscape I have been watching lately.  I am a huge fan of sci-fi and space themed movies/TV shows, and I’m pretty sure that shows in most of my personal work.

I really wanted to build a feel of dreams and longing while presenting the idea as a kind of 1960′s meets retro-futuristic-modern mash-up.  By pulling the astronaut mostly into the foreground with the typography, I’m trying to build the notion of the dream of space travel.  I’m quite pleased with how it turned out and would really love to have some prints made of this beast.

Here’s a better view of it with some detail sections.

Ever since I started into game design, I’ve been finding better and better ways to incorporate the use of Illustrator and Photoshop into just about every personal project I do.  It hasn’t always been the case for me to use both programs in a single project, and now I don’t even consider the idea of only using one program.

Hope you enjoy it! Drop me a comment with your feedback, I’d love to hear it!

Aid for Japan

My heart goes out to all who have been, are, and will be affected by the earthquake and tsunami from yesterday.  I have friends in Japan, who thankfully are out of harms way though millions could be affected.
