Had a great weekend with some of my most awesome friends! Now, back into the nitty-gritty of game design at full force. I’ve got a lot on my plate this week and there will be some surprises to come later in the week for… well just head back and check the site for the news. I’m going to have a freebie I hope you’ll all enjoy! Gotta get working on it so it’s ready to launch ASAP!
Here’s a little collage of some of the weekend fun.

Over a year ago, Broken Bulb Game Studios launched the first of a never before seen style of game on Facebook. Almost a year in the making, Miscrits: World of Adventure quickly became a success. Our artists, 7 of us at that point, were given the opportunity to design the logo for Miscrits. There were many submissions that got narrowed down to a few then the hard part came. Of the three, none were very similar, but all had great qualities that had taken center stage. So in an effort to keep the best of what we liked our Art Director took over and combined the three finalists into what became our final logo.

The top designs are a few of the submissions I put forth when we were gearing up for the launch of Miscrits.
The bottom design is our final version, design by our Art Director, Amanda Shoemaker. There are influences from my design, one of the other semi-finalists produced by Scott Serkland, as well as Amanda’s own style and flair. As you can tell, we all work very well as a team!
Go check out Miscrits:World of Adventure!
Recently had the pleasure of working with Ryan Holloway, via his brother/my co-worker Andy Holloway, on a logo redesign. I unfortunately don’t have his original company logo, but you can find it here at FreshWheelsAZ.com for the time being.
Fresh Wheels is a local alloy wheel refurbishing and repair company based in the greater Phoenix, AZ area. Hard working and completely home grown, Fresh Wheels has really taken off over the last few years and was in need of an identity update. Here is my contribution to that cause.

Love to hear your feedback on the design!

Wow, this has been quite an eventful night. I just did a 95% remodel of the site! I’ve been thinking a lot lately about providing other designers with some helpful tutorials, original vector sets, and general updates on things in the Social Gaming industry. I am looking forward to writing more and doing research to share with other design professionals.
There will, of course, be bits of random shenanigans talked about as well. However, I hope to keep that to a minimum. If there is anything you can think of in Photoshop or Illustrator that you would like to know more about let me know! I’m more than happy to help the learning process.
Just wanted to design something fun and grungy. Would love to see this on my wall… about 18″ x 24″ I think is a good size.
